Ways to create a home learning environment:
- Provide age appropriate reading materials
- model reading and learning
- create an organized/clutter - free area to complete homework and/or study
- give positive comments regarding study habits, assignments, and grades
- Enforce a consistent homework time each day
- Read with your child every night
- Help your child understand and finish homework
- Contact your child's teacher with any questions or concerns you may have
- Get your child to bed at a reasonable hour so he/she can get enough sleep
